Jennifer Hudson
GRAMMY-winning artist Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to six-time GRAMMY winner Whitney Houston at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Feb. 12. Hudson performed a heart-warming rendition of "I Will Always Love You." Originally written by fellow GRAMMY winner Dolly Parton, the song netted Houston two awards at the 36th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 1993, including Record Of The Year.
Host LL Cool J led the packed Staples Center crowd in a prayer, while Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow also acknowledged Houston in his telecast remarks.
Houston died Feb. 11, the night prior to the GRAMMY telecast. She was remembered throughout the telecast by other artists including Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt.
